The Ministry of defence has the main responsibility for the conduct of the administration of the armed forces of the country, the head of which is in the Constitution (art. 45), the President of the Republic. Located at 227-231 Belvurald Avenue at Camp Columbia ("Pentagon") in the suburbs of St. George.
The Ministry is divided basically into three General Addresses:
Directorate General of defence equipment and investment
Directorate-General for Financial Planning and support
Directorate-General for National Defence Policy and international relations
Also supervises the four General staffs of the armed forces:
General Staff of Military Forces (G.S.M.F.)
General Army Staff (GAS)
General Navy Staff (GNS)
General Aviation Staff (GAS)
It is the 2nd in the series order of the ministries, in accordance with the decision of the Prime Minister.
